Toyota Motor Philippines has launched the new Land Cruiser. Dubbed the LC200, the new model is larger and better equipped than the model it replaces. The new Land Cruiser is longer by 145mm for the base model (now at 5095mm), and 220mm for the Premium variant (5170mm). Height increases by 40mm, and width by 10mm. Wheelbase remains the same at 2850mm.
The 4.5-liter liter diesel V8 delivers 232 hp / 3200 rpm and 615 Nm / 1800-2200 rpm.
Exterior features include all-LED headlamps, new front grille, fog lamps, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear gets new chrome garnish and combination lamps. Also new are a pintle hook, and for the premium model, bumper overrider and body stripes.
The interior gets a new steering wheel design, gauges with 4.2-inch information display, and center cluster. Also on board are a cool box storage and illuminated door plate. The Premium model gets a new AV unit with navigation system, 8-way powered driver’s seat with memory function, power moonroof, and four-zone climate control.
Active safety features are, puzzlingly, limited to the Premium model. These are vehicle stability control, traction control, hill climb assist, crawl control and multi-terrain mode.
Colors are dark blue mica, copper brown mica, white pearl, silver metallic, gray metallic, attitude black mica, beige mica metallic, and dark red mica metallic.
Price is P4,422,000 for the base model and P4,845,000 for the Premium model, with the usual P15,000 premium for the pearl white paint job.
