KUALA LUMPUR—A couple died when the car they were in plunged five stories from a carpark and crashed onto a fence.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. Sunday when 71-year-old Paul William Nunis along with his wife, Mary Nunis Née Mary Rodrigues, 71, were leaving a reunion hosted by the Selangor and Federal Territory Eurasian Association at Duta Vista apartments.

Kuala Lumpur traffic police investigation and traffic law officer Deputy Superintendent S. Markandan said Nunis lost control of the couple’s car on the fifth floor car park before crashing through the barrier and plunging down.
