FORD Philippines continues to fire on all cylinders as it achieves its best-ever sales performance. The company rolled out to a strong fourth quarter on the back of a 48-percent year-over-year sales increase in October. The company sold 2,892 units, on the back of strong demand for the all-new Everest, new Ranger, and EcoSport subcompact SUVs.

The strong October sales continued Ford’s 2015 performance, registering year-to-date sales increase of 19 percent, to 19,573 units.

The all-new Everest anchored the strong October sales, as the new SUV registered a 200-percent increase, to 1,140 units. The all-new Everest, the first next-generation Asean-market SUV, is built on a sophisticated new platform, with more compliant suspension giving a more car-like ride for its passengers. The 4×4 model retains its formidable

offroad capability, with strong wheel articulation and a sophisticated electronically controlled transfer case. The interior is also among the best in class, not just among Asean-market SUVs but among world models like the Explorer and Expedition SUVs.

Meanwhile, the new Ranger, refreshed for the 2016 model year, racked up sales of 6,945 year-to-date, up by 10 percent from the previous year.

The Ford EcoSport, one of the first new-generation subcompacts to enter the market, continues to win customers with its versatile interior, tall ride height, and responsive car-like handling. The EcoSport is Ford’s top-selling nameplate, with 7,006 unit sales as of the end of October.

Ford’s large American SUVs continued to be popular, with the Explorer selling 782 units, and the new Expedition Platinum 13 units in October alone. The full-size Ford Expedition Platinum gets a more fuel-efficient new engine, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. The looks and interior are both upgraded for a more premium experience.

Strengthening its passenger car lineup, Ford launched the new Focus. The new Focus is now powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with six-speed automatic transmission. Featuring its trademark super-sharp handling, the Focus now has a higher level of interior refinement. Driver assist technologies improve driver comfort.
