GOING around the metro during rush hour has become a very stressful experience these days. For the busy executive on the go, sometimes having a driver and using Waze are not enough to get around town in today’s hellish traffic.
Aerohub Aviation Services offers a fractional ownership program and chopper services usually reserved for the corporate elite.
Together with Autohub Group of Companies, Aerohub formally introduced its fractional ownership program on Robinson R44 helicopters and Rolls-Royce cars during their formal launch last Dec. 10 at The Fort.
Robinson’s R44 helicopters are known for their reliability, responsive handling and altitude performance, making them the ideal helicopters for business and other private transport applications.
The R44, a four-seater chopper, has been in production since 1992 and has a top speed of about 150 miles per hour (approximately 240 kilometers per hour) and a cruise speed of about 124 mph (200 kph).
Aerohub Aviation Services assembled an international team of business and aviation professionals, and together with its partner Autohub Group of Companies, came up with a first-of-its-kind fractional ownership program in the country to give its clients access to a Robinsons helicopter or even a Rolls-Royce.
The Autohub Group is also the distributor for Rolls-Royce cars in the country.
Basically, for a minimum of three to five individuals, the program allows access to acquire partial ownership of a Robinson helicopter or a Rolls-Royce to be used for personal or commercial purposes.
Aerohub can activate a brand-new R44 Robinson helicopter if the minimum number of shareholders will be met. Likewise, this collective ownership will be required to pay a portion for the aircraft or the car’s upkeep.
The shareholders don’t have to worry about hiring pilots or drivers, thinking about hangar arrangements and parking, flight route, or even the servicing and maintenance of the aircraft and the vehicle as Aerohub and Rolls-Royce Manila will designate a fractional association manager per account to handle these affairs.
During the launch, top officials of Aerohub and Autohub Group led by its president Willy Tee Ten and Rolls-Royce general manager Miguelito Jose shared the key points about the fractional ownership program for a Rolls-Royce.
At the same event, Aerohub’s managing director David Cook gave a short walk through on how one can easily co-own a Robinson’s R44 helicopter.
Aside from the R44, there are future plans to include the bigger R66 as well. Aerohub’s supply partner for the helicopters is Lionair Inc., the exclusive distributor and representative of the California-based Robinson Helicopter Co.
Aerohub also offers other services such as full aircraft maintenance, flight operation, regulatory compliance assistance, ad hoc charter operations and wraparound management services for current helicopter owners.
Aerohub has a Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines’ Aircraft Operator’s Certificate, which is required by authorities to secure a flight path, and an insurance for passengers.
