THE number coding scheme will be lifted in Metro Manila in select dates during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Wednesday.

“The Number Coding Scheme is lifted in all cities and municipality in Metro Manila on Dec. 24, 25, 30 & 31,” MMDA said in an advisory.

Number coding has been implemented in Metro Manila in a bid to ease traffic in the heavily congested streets of the metropolis. -Nestor Corrales
