A Toyota Fortuner SUV fell on its side after being hit by a car while crossing Boni Serrano aka Santolan Road in San Juan City. According to Edgar Acebuche, driver of the Toyota Fortuner with plate number WPO 271, the crash took place after he delivered his son to school. He and his wife were in the car. He had just noticed the reportedly speeding Toyota Corolla Altis with plate XCF 110 when it suddenly collided with their vehicle. CCTV footage showed that the Corolla Altis was apparently on the wrong side of the road, contrary to earlier reports that the Fortuner had been on the wrong side.
Consequently, Acebuche lost control and the Toyota Fortuner tilted, falling on its side. Fortunately, Acebuche and his wife were not injured.
But the impact caused the Fortuner to end up on its side on the curb while also completely destroying the front of the Toyota Corolla Altis. The driver of the Altis was identified as Geoffrey Taylor, 29 years old, based on his drivers ‘ license .
The accident led to early traffic congestion on Santolan Road, and also on the adjacent areas of EDSA. –with report by Ruel Perez
