THE SUSPECT in the theft of around 14 motorcycles in Valenzuela City has been arrested after a man spotted him riding his friend’s missing vehicle.
Fernado “Hapon” Flores was caught by the police last week after Ricardo Emaas recognized the Yamaha Nouvo Z motorcycle he was driving on Kanlong Street in Llenado Subdivision.
Earlier, Emaas’ friend, Alvin Villar, had reported the theft of the vehicle.
Emaas told the police he was drinking with his friends on Salt Street when he spotted Flores driving the stolen vehicle. He said he followed Flores until they reached Altas Metal in the subdivision where the suspect stopped.
Emaas said he immediately reported the incident to barangay officials, leading to Flores’ arrest.
Chief Insp. Rhoderick Juan, chief of Valenzuela police’s investigation unit, said Flores was the suspect in the theft of at least 14 motorcycles in Valenzuela City, selling the vehicles or exchanging these for drugs either in Manila or Bulacan. Jodee A. Agoncillo and Beatriz Lumang
