Foton Philippines will hold a two-day single brand festival dubbed Foton Moto Fair on June 1 and 2 at Megatent Events Venue, along C5, Libis, Quezon City.
The carnival-theme motor showcase will be a selling show for the country’s biggest Chinese automotive brand, and it is also a thanksgiving celebration for its clients and partners under the brand’s Heavy Business Group, Foton PH’s division that handles its heavy duty trucks and heavy machineries.
“We aim not just to increase our sales. We aim for a stronger relationship with our present and future clients, as well. We want them to feel how much we value their trust and commitment to our brand because definitely, it’s what keeps us growing,” said Foton Philippines vice president and general manager for Heavy Business Group Delia del Mundo.
“Since we started our operations, our aim has always been to empower the Filipino businesses, large- or small-scale, through our excellent products and services particularly designed to provide convenience, reliability and affordability at their finest. Because of our clients’ patronage, we are able to reach that goal. We are holding the Foton Moto Fair because we want to give back,” Del Mundo added.
Fully operational assembly plant
Last February, Foton inaugurated its 11-hectare P1.2-billion assembly plant at the Clark Freeport Zone.
It is the first automotive assembly plant in the freeport zone that includes a storage facility for its ready units. A single assembly line could produce a total of 12,000 units in a year, and plans are under way to add another assembly line to increase the production of its vans.
With the brand’s continuing expansion in the country, Foton has been stepping up efforts not only in production but also sales and after-sales operations.
Through the help of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Clark Development Corp. and the Provincial Government of Pampanga, Foton PH also plans to put up a technical training center in Clark to sustain its growth.
Aside from the local market, it will begin exporting vehicles to other neighboring Asean countries starting with Laos and Taiwan.
Looking at where it came from, its humble beginnings gave Foton a lot to be thankful for. “It took a while, but we feel very fortunate that all our hard work has paid off,” said Foton PH president Rommel Sytin.
Starting from a sales volume of 100 units in 2007, its total sales reached over 4,000 units in 2015, and it now has 21 dealers nationwide. “By the year 2020, Foton Philippines aims to achieve an annual sales volume of 20,000 units,” he added.
Special deals at Moto Fair
The Moto Fair participants can avail of special deals and discounts as well as on-site financing approvals. They may also test drive the vehicles and heavy machineries.
Foton likewise lined up a number of carnival-themed entertainment and action-packed games. It will have a “dancing” wheel loader operated by a highly skilled machine operator to perform live stunts to wow the audience.
The Foton Moto Fair is a not only for business and institutional customers but it is also a worthwhile family experience. Besides its lineup of heavy machineries, heavy- and light-duty trucks, it also has several passenger vehicle models including the Thunder pickup, the Toano, Grantour, Transvan and Traveller vans, and the new Toplander SUV for individual buyers.
Besides the usual test drive, there’s a special closed-circuit course for select Foton models to do some off-roading exercises.
For heavy duty machineries, licensed heavy machineries enthusiasts and operators will be allowed to test-operate its wheel loader.
The Foton Moto Fair is from June 1 to 2, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. For more information, call 4592121 or (0999) 9999998, visit www.foton.com.ph, or like www.facebook.com/FotonPhilippines.
