IT’S hip, funky and sporty.
Honda Philippines (HPI) recently unveiled a new model of the Honda Gen S sports motorcycle line with the grand launch of the Honda CBR150R.
The CBR 150R was introduced to the local market because HPI wants to meet the demands of the Filipino riders’ desire for a high-quality sports bike, and the Honda CBR150R will give them the chance to the experience true speed and power of a racing machine.
This lightweight class bike was actually introduced in 2014 in other parts of Asia, and it is only after nearly two years that it’s being sold in the country.
“Bringing the all new CBR150R to the Philippines is part of HPI’s efforts to ignite the passion of riding among new riders and enthusiasts,” HPI president Daiki Mihara said.
The Honda CBR150R sports an aggressive design: dual keen eye headlight, sleek and spunky exterior along with a side cowl, rear side cowl, and new stylish muffler.
What’s more, it is equipped with a double disc-brake system, digital meter panel with integrated information (speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel meter, clock and engine temperature), aluminum rear footstep, and secure key shutter.
At the core of the Honda CBR150R is a 150cc, liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC-4 valve engine that delivers up to 12.6 kW and 9,000 rpm max power and 13 Nm/7,5000 rpm max power of torque ensuring strength to fuel the need for speed.
Even with that power, the Honda CBR150R is fuel-efficient and environment-friendly, thanks to the PGM-FI (fuel injection) fuel system, which conforms to the Euro 3 international emission standards.
To handle that, Honda engineers built in an innovative truss frame, which is designed to support the engine, maximize performance of the Pro-Link suspension system, and optimally reduce engine vibration, thus, resulting in stability, agility and riding comfort.
“So, I invite everyone to experience the joy of riding with our latest Gen-S model. It’s time to live the thrill of racing with the all new Honda CBR150R,” Mihara said.
