SAN PEDRO CITY — Three people died in separate road crashes involving motorcycles in Batangas and Rizal provinces on Saturday evening, police said Sunday.

A report from the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon (Calabarzon) police on Sunday said Calixto Graella died after his motorcycle was hit by a trailer truck along Sumulong Avenue, Barangay (village) Bagumbayan in Teresa Rizal at about 11:30 p.m.

The truck driver, identified as Paterno Rafanan Jr., of Twin MK Import and Export Corp., was arrested by the police.

In Batangas City, Chilton Darryl Rigor was driving his motorcycle when he hit the motorcycle driven by Raymundo Perez Jr., a village councilor, in Barangay 20 at about 9 p.m. Rigor died while being taken to Batangas Medical Center. Perez was hurt.

In Lipa City, a motorcycle driver identified as Jemuel Matuclay died in another crash at about 7:30 p.m. –Maricar CincoCBB/rga
