All systems go for 8th season of Yamaha GP one make race

Now on its 8th year, the 2017 Yamaha Grand Prix One Make Race will kick off its season opener on Jan. 28 at Robinson’s Novaliches.

Local riders can take part in any of the following divisions: 160 Open AT, 150 Open Underbone, 130 Open Underbone, 115 Vega Force I SS (for novice and intermediate riders), Mio i 125 ( for novice and beginners only) with a Fun Race (exclusive for beginners) for both underbones and AT as a side-event.

Aside from bragging rights, race winners will get cash prizes amounting to P10,000, P5,000 and P3,000. Entry fee for all divisions is P150.

Yamaha Motors Philippines will be bringing in Movistar Yamaha MotoGP riders for the event billed as “Legendary Arrival.”

Rider #46 Valentino Rossi and #25 Maverick Viñales will be the guests of honor at the opening round of the 8th Yamaha Grand Prix.

 

Fan favorite Rossi, who made his first visit here a few years ago, will surely draw in the crowds to the free event at Robinsons Novaliches, and, with his new team mate, Maverick Viñales alongside, MotoGP fans are giddy over the prospect of seeing up close and personal both Movistar Yamaha MotoGP riders.
