The island city-state of Singapore is among the strongest economies in the region. Despite its high cost of vehicle ownership and market size, it has a large appetite for premium and luxury vehicles.
According to Glenn Tan, president of the Motor Traders Association and executive director of the Tan Chong Group, the holding company that owns Motor Image, the distributor of Subaru the ASEAN region including the Philippine market and distributor for Nissan in Singapore, last year’s show had over 58,000 visitors in the 4-day weekend event.
One of the main attractions of the event was the Russ Swift show by Subaru, where the world’s best precision driver Russ Swift of UK performs four times daily using the current model Subaru cars including the all-new Subaru Impreza which was unveiled to the public on the first day of the event. One lucky visitor will also be taking home an all-new Subaru Impreza that was raffled off in the 4-day weekend event.
