Choosing the right lubricant for your high-performance car might seem daunting but Petron made it a lot easier when the largest oil refining and marketing company in the Philippines introduced its “High Temperature Protection” line for high-performance cars.

The products under the HTP line—Automatic Transmission Fluid Premium HTP, Brake Fluid HTP DOT 4, and Grease HTP Lithium Complex—are scientifically formulated to address vehicle stress during extreme heat.

Petron explained that Automatic Transmission Fluid Premium HTP is fully synthetic and acts as a coolant for automatic transmissions.

Petron’s Automatic Transmission Fluid Premium HTP also boasts of higher viscosity index, consistent oxadative stability, better thermal stability, lesser volatility and greater heat dissipation than conventional automatic transmission fluids.

On the other hand, Petron’s new DOT 4 brake fluid benefits from a higher boiling point—230 degrees Celsius —compared to conventional DOT 3 fluids that have a 205 degrees Celsius boiling point.

Petron’s Lithium Grease Complex is not only designed to lubricate ball bearings, hinges and latches but also protects these parts from corrosion and rust.

Moreover, while previous versions of greases were rated to retain their lubricating properties at up to 190 degrees Celsius, the Lithium Grease Complex retains its effectiveness for up to 260 degrees Celsius.

The launch event, held at City Kart Racing in Circuit Makati City and hosted by Gelli Victor, featured automotive journalist James Deakin who did the ceremonial kart drive as well as actress Janine Gutierrez who is Petron’s ambassador for these new Petron products.

Owners of high-performance cars were also in attendance to welcome Petron’s High Temperature Protection line.

Petron, now a leading player in the Malaysian market, aims to be the leading provider of total customer solutions in the energy sector and its derivative businesses.
