Actress Jolina Magdangal was brought to the hospital early Monday morning after her vehicle was rear-ended by a passenger van in Quezon City.
According to the report from the traffic enforcement unit of the Quezon City Police District, Magdangal was riding a Mitsubishi Montero Sport along East Avenue, when her vehicle stopped at a traffic light in front of the Philippine Heart Center around 1:30 a.m.
A Nissan Urvan, with a certain Peter Sevilla behind the wheel, then collided with the rear portion of her sports utility vehicle. The force crushed both the back of the SUV and the front part of the van.
Magdangal was rushed to St. Luke’s Medical Center for treatment, while Sevilla was taken to the nearby East Avenue Medical Center.
According to earlier reports, Orlando Sebolino, the actress’ driver, was driving toward Edsa to take Magdangal and her husband Mark Escueta to the airport.
SPO2 Achilles Magat, investigating officer, said Magdangal was already released from the hospital after sustaining minor injuries.
Magdangal has yet to comment on whether charges of reckless imprudence resulting to damage to property and physical injury would be filed against Sevilla, Magat noted. –Jhesset O. Enano, JE
