The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Metro Manila Accident Recording and Analysis System recorded a total of 216 fatalities due to road crashes between January and June this year.
Of the total number of persons killed, 111 were drivers, 22 were passengers and 83 were pedestrians.
A total of 9,724 nonfatal injuries were also recorded in the same period. —Marielle Medina
