The 2017 Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix will be hosting its 10th night race in the Lion City this September. Fans from all over will troop over to the Marina Bay Circuit to catch all the on-track action starting September 15 up to September 17, 2017. With the race for both driver’s and manufacturer’s title tightening up, the 2017 Singapore GP is bound to play a pivotal role in determining this years champions.
If there is one thing that elevates the Singapore GP from all other races in the F1 calendar, it is their collection of star studded performers for the entire GP weekend. Some circuits could offer one, two or even three concert artists, but at the Marina Bay Circuit, a featured performer will be entertaining fans at all hours in between on-track sessions.
This year, fans will surely get their money’s worth as multiple grammy nominee Ariana Grande, takes the Padang stage on Saturday (20:00 – 21:00) before the qualifying session. Sunday will feature world renowned DJ Calvin Harris, mixing his music to all in attendance at the Padang Stage (22:25 – 23:40). Fans can re-live the ’80s with superband Duran Duran at the Zone 1 Village stage on Saturday (20:00 – 21:00) and at the Padang stage on Sunday (18:00 – 19:30). American band One Republic will be performing on Friday at the Padang Stage (22:10 – 23:40) with British artist Lianne La Havas coming in at (19:00 – 20:00) on Friday. Lianne will also be singing at the Village stage on Saturday from (17:10 – 18:00). The Chainsmokers from the USA, will take the turntables at the Padang stage on Saturday (22:15 – 23:45); with MTV Video Music Awardee and multiple Grammy Award winner Seal, mesmerizing the crowds at the village stage on Sunday (18:00 – 1910). George the Poet from the UK will be at the Downtown stage on Saturday and at the Espalande outdoor theater on Sunday at 1900-1945.
GP ticket prices start at SGD78 (Friday Zone 4 walkabout). This will allow access to all the on-track and off-track activities, plus the concerts on that particular day.
Singapore GP tickets are still available from the SGP website or from their authorized international ticketing agents.
