The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has suspended the number coding scheme for October 17, 2017, in connection with the second day of a public transport strike.

With the suspension of the MMDA’s number coding scheme, Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program or UVVRP, vehicles ending in 3 and 4 on their license plates are allowed to ply Metro Manila roads on Tuesday.

A post on the MMDA Facebook page states: “The number coding scheme is LIFTED today, October 17, 2017 due to transport strike and inclement weather. Chairman Danilo Delapuz Lim ordered the suspension in support of the private employees and the directive from Malacanang.”
