Motul PH stages BoxerFest

Motul Philippines recently staged a “BoxerFest” event at the Greenhills Commercial Center’s open parking lot celebrating Subaru’s Boxer Engine technology, a hallmark feature of the premuim Japanse auto brand. Organized by Blanco Marketing, in conjunction with Autoplus, the excluisve distributors of Motul oil and lubricants in the country and with Motor Image Pilipinas, the BoxerFest event managed to assemble over 100 Subaru Impeza WRX Sti cars in various states of tune and customization.

“This show is our way of expressing our support to the patrons of Motul and to highlight the benefits of using the only 100 percent real synthetic oil in the country today,” said Carlos Gono, Managing Partner of Autoplus-Motul Ph.

The show featured all the seven generations of the Impreza WRX Sti. Supporting the event were high performance cars from the Manila GTR Club. On display during the event was the 1,400 horsepower Nissan GTR of Ph Drag Racing record holder Jonathan Tiu. “Only Motul can witihstand the rigors of racing and it is the only motor oil that we tested that works perfectly and we were able to maximize the power of the GTR’s engine,” says Tiu.

Among the Impreza Sti’s on display were the customized Subaru Impreza Sti GRB of Mark Anton David and the highly-tuned 320 horsepower Subaru Impreza WRX Sti of champion racer Luis Gono. “We are happy with the turnout of the participants and enthusiasts in the first staging of BoxerFest. Plans are in the pipeline to stage more events next year,” says Noreen Blanco of Blanco Marketing. This is the fourth automotive related event staged by Barangay Greenhills in the Greenhills Commercial Center as part of their “Hot Wheels in Greenhills” program.
