Volkswagen PH holds ‘VWorld Weekend’ at Uptown Parade

The Filipino Christmas season is the longest Holiday celebration in the world. Volkswagen Philippines, the exclusive importer and distributor of the country’s bestselling European car brand, has chosen one weekend in December – the 2nd and 3rd – as the best two days to spend Christmas car shopping with the family.

The third edition of the “VWorld Weekend” will be held, this time, at the upscale leisure complex Uptown Parade on 38th Street corner 9th Avenue in Taguig City.

In store for families and car enthusiasts visiting the “VWorld Weekend” are displays of Volkswagen’s latest cars as well as test drive opportunities. Highlight cars are the Jetta sedan Comfortline and Highline variants, the Polo Hatchback, the Golf GTI with ABT kit, and the New Caddy multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

The Jetta has sold over 14 million units worldwide in its six generations of production, making it among the most successful sedans in the German marque’s history. The Jetta is “Made for Everyday Driving,” with its stylish looks, feature-packed amenities, and remarkable comfort features. Powered by a 2.0-liter Turbo-charged Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine mated to a 6-speed Direct Shift Gear (DSG) transmission system that generates 150Ps of power and a class-leading 340Nm of torque, visitors who will test drive the Jetta will find the power and comfort more than satisfying. The “VWorld Weekend“ also offers one of Volkswagen’s versatile vehicles, the 7-seater New Caddy which is available in two variants: the Comfortline (CL) and Sportline (SL). Both are equipped with a 1.6-liter TDI diesel engine mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission that generates maximum power of 102 PS and maximum torque of 250 Nm, more than enough to efficiently transport cargo and passengers in its 7-seater configuration. The New Caddy is considered the ideal MPV for families with its generous cargo space, while optimizing safety features such as front, side, and curtain airbags, Hill Hold Control, and Cruise Control.

Pre-owned Volkswagen vehicles will also be available at special prices during this two-day lifestyle and sales event.

Visitors who test drive and make their reservations on the spot will be given special Volkswagen gift items.

The action won’t be limited to the test drives. All members of families who will visit the “VWorld Weekend” tent will also be treated to entertaining games, and a “meet and greet” with official Volkswagen mascot Wolfi.
