Expect a more thrilling Vios Cup Season 5

After four seasons, the Vios Cup is finally coming into its own as a racing series: many big names are on board, the series is producing very exciting racing, and its fan base is expanding rapidly.

But the biggest change and challenge in the upcoming 5th Season of the Vios Cup happening this April 28 will be the specification upgrades that would be done at the Super Sporting Class.

The Super Sporting Class cars will now feature light weight hood and trunk lid that are expected to further maximize the Vios’ speed performance.

Moreover, these cars will now be equipped with TRD rotor disc brakes that would ensure higher braking power.

Indeed, expect an even more heart-stopping battle on track with these upgrades.

This year’s inaugural race will happen at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga on April 28 at 10 a.m. The event is open to the public, and admission is free.

New format

When it comes to race season format, those in Metro Manila, Cavite and Laguna would be glad to know that aside from Clark International Speedway in Pampanga where the first and last legs of the race will be held, the second leg will be held at Filinvest City in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Filinvest, Alabang street circuit offers that true street racing experience, and will definitely stand out as a venue that majority of those watching or behind the wheel have fallen in love with.

For the 5th season of the Vios Cup, the three race classes—Super Sporting Class, Sporting Class, and Promotional Class—have attracted over 50 racers.

Remaining committed to this grassroots racing program, as well as in the development of basic motorsports knowledge and racing skills in the country, Toyota Motor Philippines announced new celebrity racers.

New celebrity racers

The 5th season will welcome actors Diego Loyzaga, Sofia Andres, Chie Filomeno and Sam Milby.

Joining them are returning celebrities from last season’s race—sportscaster Gretchen Ho, fitness influencer Aubrey Miles, Japanese-Brazilian model Fabio Ide, and actor Troy Montero.

The Vios Cup Season 5 is in partnership with Bridgestone and Rota, supported by Motul, Brembo, AVT, 3M, Denso, OMP, and TuasonRacing.

The Vios Cup is a grassroots-level racing competition spearheaded by TMP. Catering to car enthusiasts 15 years and up, the Vios Cup has been designed for nonprofessionals, making it a platform for first-time racers.
