DID YOU KNOW: MMDA emergency group operates 24 hours daily

In 2017, the Traffic Discipline Office Road Emergency Group of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority operated 24 hours a day with the help of nine ambulances, a rescue van, seven tow trucks, handheld radios, and 131 heavy equipment operators ready to respond to emergencies on Edsa.

The seven emergency stations are maintained on Orense, Ortigas, C-5/Libis, Roxas Boulevard, Nagtahan, Timog Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue.

The group assisted and endorsed to hospitals for further treatment of 2,524 victims in 2017. —Marielle Medina
