Subaru Forester e-Boxer and other new cars unveiled at Singapore Motor Show
Singapore- Motioncars-Inquirer Motoring is at Suntec City today to attend the Singapore Motorshow presented by the Motor Trader’s Association of Singapore. Singapore’s car market continues to thrive despite the high purchase prices due to taxes and COE requirements. Because of the high cost of a new car purchase, most customers buy high-end luxury cars and set the trend for the upscale automotive segment throughout the ASEAN Region. Hybrids & electric vehicles also grab attention as the pressure on the industry to clean itself up continues unabated. The Subaru Forester e-Boxer is set to be unveiled later today & will very likely hit Philippine shores later in the year.
Subaru’s e-Boxer power unit combines a horizontally opposed “boxer” engine and an electric motor and maintain’s the brand’s symmetrical all-wheel drive layout. The power unit is based on the 2.0 liter direct injection gasoline engine. Subaru promises excellent weight balance and low center of gravity with the e-Boxer unit.
The new Mazda3 sedan, new KIA Niro, new Toyota RAV4 were recently unveiled at the Singapore Motorshow.
