‘Rouser Dare Venture’ reality show now in PH
Some of the world’s first motorcycle riders were adventure seekers, explorers and travellers who love to discover amazing routes and remote places.
In those days, back roads, walking trails and forgotten byways were the norm. But as road network improved, a lot of these motorcycle riders diverged, leaving these more rugged sojourns to specialists.
In recent years, however, a growing number of motorcycle riders are rediscovering the fun and camaraderie found in going to these back country destinations, whether they’re riding basic motorbikes or full-powered and fully featured adventure motorcycles.
“As one of the manufacturers of the best motorbikes in the world, we help rekindle our riders’ sense of adventure. This is the reason why Kawasaki of Japan together with its strategic partner, Bajaj of India, initiated a few years ago, a unique motorcycle reality show that gives the opportunity to riders to enjoy and experience thrilling rides and adventure off the beaten track. This competition involves a test of riding skills, physical stamina, strategic thinking and team work,” said Bajaj Auto Limited regional marketing manager for Asean countries, Shashank Golani.
Golani was here last week to witness the formal launch of the reality show in the Philippines.
“The ‘Rouser Dare Venture’ will be a digital reality show in the Philippines where Rouser riders can participate in adventurous tasks that will test Rouser’s endurance and power,” explained Kawasaki Motors (Phils.) Corp. (KMPC) senior manager for Sales, Marketing and Customer Support Divisions Ruby Macalintal.
A similar show enjoys a huge following in several countries including Nepal, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka.
New experience
“The Philippine version of the Rouser Dare Venture aims to deliver a whole new dare venture experience that focuses on the fun, challenging, and intriguing day-to-day life of the Rouser riders, mixed with elements of humor, drama, action and suspense,” says KMPC brand manager Dan Reynald Darang.
The Rouser Dare Venture officially airs on the Rouser Philippines YouTube and Facebook pages in a few weeks.
Present during the evening launch held at the KMPC headquarters in Cupang, Muntinlupa were members of the various Rouser clubs all over the Philippines.
10 riders
KMPC Marketing Communications supervisor Mitch Ticzon explains that 10 specially selected riders will battle it out in a series of demanding dares that will challenge them both physically and mentally, as well as test their skills as riders on the Rouser NS160.
“At the end of every webisode, one to two contestants will be eliminated. The last rider standing will win the grand prize of P100,000, a brand new Rouser NS 160, and have the honor to be declared the Grand Dare Venture Winner.”
The targeted locations for the Rouser Dare Venture series are in Pampanga, particularly Sapang Bato and Haduan Falls in Mabalacat, and the lahar areas around Mt. Pinatubo in Butolan.
Antonio Arnel Juco, KMPC Technical Product consultant, says the Rouser NS160 is a perfect ride for the challenges the riders will face. “The Rouser series is designed for power and performance. Besides, it is already the Rouser’s 10th year in the Philippines, so this event expresses our appreciation.”
Macalintal said that the Rouser Dare Venture promises to be fun and exciting, but also nerve-wracking and terrifying at the same time: “Don’t dare to miss the series online!”
