Car of the Year Philippines launches 2010 program

October 21,2010

The Car Awards Group Inc. (CAGI), a nonstock, non-profit corporation with membership from Philippine motoring writers and broadcasters, launched its 2010 Car of the Year Philippines program. As in previous years, participating cars will be tested using an instrumented run, and then evaluated by writers after being driven on a road course. This year’s testing will run in November at McKinley Hill, with the awarding scheduled a few days after.

Ferman Lao, CAGI president, together with the CAGI officers, gave the car manufacturers information on this year’s test program. Around 50 vehicles will be eligible for this year’s Car of the Year award. Category winners will be declared as well. The winner will be displayed next year at the Manila International Auto Show at the World Trade Center, from 7 to 10 April 2011.
