LOGISTICS provider Lalamove Philippines will pay their “partner drivers” via mobile wallet GCash.
In an announcement made on May 28 Lalamove Philippines said the move comes as a result of its new partnership with GCash as it seeks “for a more efficient disbursement method for [its] drivers who are usually on [the] field 24/7.”
The company noted logistics personnel usually have trouble withdrawing their salaries, and that the GCash App and GCash Mastercard solve this.
Lalamove Philippines explained the GCash App lets users purchase discounted prepaid load, send money to other GCash users and pay utility bills, among other services. The GCash Mastercard can be used for ATM and online transactions.
Lalamove Philippines managing director Dan Marajocon said the company’s partnership with GCash has made disbursements to drivers “more efficient.”
“We’re definitely looking forward to exploring more opportunities with them,” she added, referring to GCash.
Lalamove started out in Hong Kong in December 2013. The company said it now operates in over 100 cities in China and Southeast Asia.
