Ferrari gets 14th Red Dot Award via its Monza SP1

FERRARI has increased its tally of Red Dot Awards as the carmaker’s Monza SP1 wins the top “Red Dot: Best of the Best” citation. Also contributing to the count is the “Red Dot: Design Team of the Year” secured by Flavio Manzoni and Ferrari Design.
All the awards were received between 2015 and 2019.
Ferrari noted “no other automotive manufacturer has ever achieved this result” in the Red Dot Awards.
It added the Monza SPI received the accolade for the car’s “innovative and aesthetically outstanding design.”
Ferrari had previously received the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” award for the FXX-K, 488 GTB, J50 and Portofino.
“Ferrari understands better than any other company how to make luxury sports cars objects of desire. The designers use state-of-the-art technology and an emotionally appealing language of form to create an incomparable driving and brand experience,” said Red Dot Award CEO Peter Zec.
The ceremony for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019 will be held on July 8 in Essen, Germany. All the awards’ winning products will be shown in an exhibition to be held on July 12. Ferrari will also put up its own special display alongside the exhibit.
