THE only requirement is that cars attending the meet should at least be 20 years old. Otherwise, the event — Cars & Coffee — is pitched as a causal gathering of enthusiasts where they can meet up at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. It’s the perfect venue in which to discuss automotive culture, admire the classic cars that will be parked right at the doorstep of the museum, and, well, sip coffee.
Cars & Coffee will be held starting June 16, and every Sunday after until September 8 — when the weather in Stuttgart begins to get colder. The meets are scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. New models from the Mercedes-Benz Stuttgart sales and service outlet, as well as cars from the museum’s All-Time Stars vehicle trading platform, will always be displayed.
Along with Cars & Coffee, the Mercedes-Benz Summer Lounge will also offer culinary delights like Swabian, Bavarian or French breakfast fare with butter pretzel, white sausages or croissant. Set every Friday from 4 p.m. at “Grill & Chill” are specialties from the smoker and live music. On Saturdays, there are various children’s food available, like meatballs on potato salad, carbonated water mixed with fruit juice and ice cream sundae.
Additional features will be offered at two separate Cars & Coffee meets:
Sports cars on July 21, and off-road and commercial vehicles on September 1.
