BOTH the Vespa Primavera and Sprint, available in the Philippines since October last year, now come in sportier, more stylish versions as Vespa Philippines brought out the S variants of the two scooters at the recent Makina Moto Show.
Identifying the Primavera S are an edge shield, and a dust gray horn cover and split five-spoke wheels. The 12-inch wheels fitted on the Primavera (not just on the S variant) are the biggest in the Vespa range. The model also has LED headlamp and taillights.
Exclusive to the Primavera S are Red Profondo, Black Vulcano and White Innocenza paintjobs.
Powering it is a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled 150cc iGet engine that, thanks to electronic fuel injection and a three-valve head, promises to sip gasoline. Helping here is a barometric sensor in the engine control unit which compensates for changes in altitude or air pressure, ensuring optimum combustion every time.
The engine makes 12.7hp and 12.8Nm.
Defining the Sprint S is a unique seat whose color complements the three paintjobs available to the scooter — Grey Materia, Blue Vivace and Black Vulcano. Like the Primavera, the Sprint S has 12-inch wheels, though these are black with contrasting polished lips.
The Sprint S also shares the 150cc iGet engine of the Primavera.
Both the Primavera S and Sprint S are now sold at Vespa Philippines’ dealerships.
