THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be repairing several roads in Metro Manila beginning Friday night, lasting until July 1, according to an announcement posted by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on its website.

The department said all affected roads will be fully passable only at 5 a.m. on July 1.

Sections of EDSA going south which will be repaired are that in front of Guzent Construction Equipment Sales and Rental stretching to Culiat Bridge (second lane from the sidewalk); Eugenio Lopez to Scout Borromeo; and from the Magallanes-Baclaran bus stop to Magallanes-Alabang bus stop (outer lane).

The southbound lane (second from the sidewalk) of Katipunan Avenue just before P. Tuazon Boulevard will be repaired, too.

The northbound, first and second lanes of EDSA after Aurora Boulevard are scheduled for road works.

Westbound roads to be affected are Quirino Highway Kingfisher Street to Primerose Street; and General Luis Street until just before the Oriental Tin Can factory.

Going north, Regalado Extension to Quirino Highway will have its second lane repaired.

C-5 Road in front of SM Aura will have road works in both northbound and southbound lanes.

The DPWH advised motorists to avoid these areas and to use alternate routes instead.
