Continuing last month’s sports car articles, we have another batch of sports cars that are or will be flooding international markets in the next two years. Let’s go on with the cars…

Jaguar XK180
The Jaguar XK180 is no doubt a great looking car. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, it swept attendees off their feet with a great, sculpted Aluminum body. Influenced by the 50’s D-type, the XK180 is powered by a super-charged V8 that produces 450 bhp. Will they produces it? We hope so.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4
What happens if you put 300 bhp into a four-wheel drive machine? The answer: the Porsche 911 Carrera 4. Despite the 15 kilos that were added to the standard Carrera, the Carrera 4 is the same in every aspect…only better. The best Porsche yet? You bet.

Alfa Romeo 166
European executives who are tired of driving around in a Merc or in a BMW can seriously consider the 166. Alfa Romeo’s answer to the E-class and the 5-series, the 166 looks like a grown 156. However, like Italian designers, the 166 can still win hearts.

Toyota Celica
Despite weakening sales in the US and Europe, Toyota has pushed ahead with the new Celica. Completely new from the previous generation, this Celica will be powered by a 1.8-liter engine. Don’t laugh however, because with Toyota’s VVTi the standard version gets 140 bhp and the high-performance version gets 200 bhp.

Mitsubishi Eclipse
Mitsubishi has announced that a new Eclipse is just two years away. Changing the previous image, Mitsu has changed the 2+2 coupe into a 2-seater coupe. Powered by either a 2.4 inline-4 or 3.0 V6 engine, there is no word if 4WD or turbocharged engines would be available.

Toyota Yaris
The Toyota Starlet was downright bland and ugly. Though it was reliable, it offered nothing special. Enter the new Toyota Yaris. Powered by a 1.0-liter VVTi engine, the Yaris has 85 bhp and a cute (but still bland) exterior. Toyota’s hopes is that this little baby can re-capture the super-mini market.
