A NEW road safety-related partnership has led to drivers of on-demand courier service provider Lalamove now getting covered by Chubb Insurance.
In the deal, Lalamove said Chubb Insurance will provide all its active drivers, whether they work full-time or part-time for the company, with personal accident insurance coverage while they are on the job.
“We are glad that, finally, we can provide insurance for all our hardworking partner drivers. With this partnership in place, they can now focus on earning more while having peace of mind on the road,” said Lalamove Philippines managing director Dannah Majarocon.
The president of Chubb in the Philippines, Peter van Ratingen, for his part said the company’s personal accident insurance coverage has “tailored features and benefits to meet the drivers’ needs so that they are well taken care of if the unfortunate happens.”
Lalamove said the number of its drivers in Metro Manila will reach 40,000 by the end of the year.
