THE Audi Virtual Cockpit, an ambient lighting package, the brand’s Multi Media Interface (MMI) navigation and cruise control headline the upgrades received by the 2020 Audi Q2 compact crossover — which Audi Philippines has now brought in.

The refreshed compact crossover is built for everyday urban driving and recreation while offering style and a high level of functionality, the carmaker said.

New to the Q2 is the Audi Virtual Cockpit’s 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which replaces traditional dials. Infotainment functions and driver information are displayed in brilliant high resolution, with two different layouts possible at the touch of a button.

Audi Q2 now features the Audi Virtual Cockpit.

For the full infotainment experience, the seven-inch high-resolution colored MMI display is positioned high on the instrument panel, which can be operated by a rotary/push-button control and two buttons on the center tunnel. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Ambient lighting, now available as an option, means the cabin light switches color depending oh how bright or dark it is outside the car. The light is projected throughout the cabin.

Audi described the Q2 as looking youthful, with a fascia defined by an octagonal Singleframe grille, LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights and dynamic turn signals. The model’s sleek roof merges into the C-pillars, highlighted by contrasting side blades. Adorning the rear are a sporty roof spoiler, an arched bumper and a rear diffuser.

The Q2 measures 1.51 meters tall, 1.79 meters wide and 4.19 meters long. Its overhangs are short. Its wheelbase spans 2.6 meters. It is equipped with 15-spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels.

The crossover’s sleek, angular exterior continues through inside. The Audi Sport-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel is wrapped in leather and is fitted with multifunction buttons and paddle shifters. The Q2 seats five.

The Q2’s high driving position is SUV-like, but its driving characteristics are similar to that of an Audi sedan. It offers good visibility and a luggage compartment as big as 1,050 liters.

Its safety features and driver-assist systems include cruise control, speed limiter, electronic stabilization control, electro-mechanical parking brake and numerous airbags, including a curtain bag.

Powering the 2020 Q2 is Audi’s efficient and powerful 1.0-liter, three-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 116hp and 200Nm of torque. Matched to the engine is a seven-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission. The Q2 can accelerate from rest to 100km/h in 10.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 197km/h.

The upgraded Q2 is now available at Audi Philippines showrooms on EDSA Greenhills, Bonifacio Global City, Alabang and SM Seaside City Cebu.
