On Sunday, Aug. 11, Electrek spotted a new product listing on Tesla’s online shop for a set of new and improved Model 3 All-Weather Floor Liners that are 100% recyclable.

Last year, Tesla launched a set of all-weather Model 3 floor mats floor whose design and the price tag was easily outshined by third-party vehicle accessory manufacturers. Over the weekend, the company released a new set of mats with a refreshed design just in time for rainy and snowy autumn weather.

Like the set that was released in 2018, these weather-proof mats are made completely of recyclable materials and are cadmium-, lead-, latex- and PVC-free. On the other hand, these liners feature structured walls to keep dirt, water and other debris from reaching the Tesla’s carpet interior.

Compared to last year’s version, these mats are $50 (over P2,000) more expensive, settling in at $195 (about P10,000). However, flatliners typically retail for less than $60 (about P3,000) by third-party vendors.

Structured mats that more properly protect the vehicle available from non-Tesla brands are usually priced around $200 (about P10,000), making Tesla’s version quite competitive for the first time. HM/JB
