McCall’s Motorworks Revival is a must-see

IT’S not everyday you get to be in a hangar filled with World War ll planes, as well as today’s most expensive private jets.

And this is possible when you visit McCall’s Motorworks Revival. The vision of its organizers some 20 years ago was to create a unique approach to automotive and aviation display. I was privileged enough to be invited to experience this first-hand.

The moment you step out of your car and enter the venue, you are greeted by the softest red carpet you can imagine. A server hands you the first of many drinks of the night. You know you are in an ultra-exclusive event when the first car you see is a Hennessey Venom GT. Parked beside is a World War ll bomber plane.

As you make your way into the hangar you get this mixed emotion of excitement. As you walk past the 675LT with exposed carbon, you start to appreciate the art of creating these one-offs. An L88 C2 Corvette is parked beside ultra-expensive Gulfstream G500 jets. Before you could even take the next breath, you see the latest Porsche Re-Imagined by Singer. If you haven’t seen this car, I highly suggest you search for it; there is nothing that comes close to the level of detail on this masterpiece. This is really the epitome of art on wheels.

Across it you’ll find the Porsche Gunther, which you could imagine is another masterpiece of art. You truly have to appreciate these air-cooled Porsches. Right behind it you will find the Roush booth with all its latest tech and upgrades for all Fords out there. As you make your way deeper into the hangar you see the Top Exclusive Hyper car series displayed. The Exposed Blue Carbon Chiron is definitely an eye-catcher; it is parked beside a Mclaren GT.

You know the saying “leave the best for last?” That was what McCall’s does as RUF brought in its Yellow Bird and CTR. SpeedKore, for its part, brought in its customized Dodge Charger with full carbon body and a demon engine.

I will let the photos do most of the talking. The next time you come to Car Week Monterey, be sure to get yourself some ticket to McCall’s Motorworks Revival. You can know more about them at https://mccallevents.com
