These are not Black Rhino wheels — distributor

August 20,2019

THE distributor of Black Rhino in the Philippines said the wheels fitted to an SUV that figured in an accident are counterfeit items. Photos of the wrecked SUV have been circulating on social media.

Sam Liuson of Black Rhino Wheels Philippines said the best identification is that this design, called Diamante, does not come in the gold-bronze finish as seen in the photos posted. The specific finish is not easily achieved by repainting and can only be done in a factory for mass production.

The company said original products of Black Rhino Wheels undergo stringent quality control testing and certification. These pass US and Japan standards like DOT and JWL-T. Counterfeit wheels may bear these identifications but may not have undergone actual testing.

Black Rhino Wheels Philippines said original Black Rhino products are sold only through authorized dealers; Concept One Wheels’ main showroom on 318 Santolan Road, San Juan City, and Black Rhino Outlet Store in Overland Kings, Paranaque City.

The company said buyers may verify the authenticity of a Black Rhino wheel by sending in photos to 0917-8801111 or @blackrhinowheels.ph Facebook page. It also urges the public to report stores selling counterfeit Black Rhino Wheels.
