IT HAS been nearly a decade after it set the bar for compact crossovers by way of a distinctive personality and an emphasis on fun. Now, the next-generation Nissan Juke arrives to reinvent the segment once again. Still fun to drive, the all-new Juke delivers new levels of performance and technology within a striking yet roomier crossover body, Nissan promises.
The next-generation Juke, recently unveiled in London, Paris, Milan, Barcelona and Cologne, is designed for European drivers who value design, technology and performance, in addition to practicality in the crossover segment.
“The Nissan Juke is back with its unique identity, even more character, exciting performance and advanced technology that responds to driver needs,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, Nissan Europe vice president of product planning. “The new design and exciting driving experience will appeal to the growing number of customers opting for compact crossovers. The Juke has grown up while still retaining the fun-to-drive qualities that have always made it stand out.”
New to the Juke are larger dimensions and a more athletic stance, 19-inch alloy wheels, a coupe-style “floating roof,” full LED technology and a Y-shaped signature which complements Nissan’s V-Motion grille. An exclusive red body shade, Fuji Sunset, now completes the lineup of 11 colors.
Transformed on the inside as well, the new Juke is roomier, with rear-seat knee room increased by 5.8 centimeters, rear head room by 1.1 centimeters and a boot capacity of 422 liters — providing 20% more storage room. New soft-touch materials on the dashboard, door trim and foot wells offer a premium feel, complemented by standard mono-form sporty seats and optional Alcantara or leather upholstery.
Deliveries of the car will begin at the end of November.
