FERRARI has suitably chosen its historic Fiorano racetrack as the venue for Universo Ferrari, the carmaker’s first exhibition dedicated to the brand. A series of exclusive tours, scheduled throughout September, sees Ferrari customers and enthusiasts experience the brand’s history in a structure in which the various activities that make Ferrari unique are represented in all their glory.
The exhibition’s itinerary offers visitors a fully immersive experience, enabling them to gain a close-up look into a legend that is among the strongest brands in the world.
The itinerary begins with a focus on racing, from where Ferrari was born. So displayed at the center of a large hall is the current Formula 1 SF90 of Scuderia Ferrari, which this year is celebrating its 90th anniversary.
Next is the “Ferrari Classiche,” the famous workshop where Ferrari models are transformed into automotive icons by experts who restore and maintain these cars to perfection. The undisputed star of this room is the Ferrari 250 GTO from 1962, one of the brand’s most collectible models.
Because Ferrari ownership goes beyond the value and beauty of the car itself, but entails entering into a special community, spaces dedicated to the Ferrari lifestyle, as highlighted by a 2016 LaFerrari Aperta and a 2017 FXX-K Evo, are included in the tour. This means the exhibition delves into the countless events and programs originating from the two sides of Ferrari customers: GT lifestyle and Corse Clienti & Competizioni GT.
Closed-wheel championship is another important element within the Universo Ferrari. Here, the trophy won this year by Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans takes centerstage, alongside a 488 GTE.
The crowning glory of the exhibition is the display of the entire Ferrari range. For 2019, this collection includes the SF90 Stradale, the brand’s latest model and its first series-production hybrid supercar.
The Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 models from 2018 close the exhibition. These cars are the forefathers of Icona, a new limited-production special series that bridges the past and the future of the brand. They both appear on a dedicated platform overlooking the Fiorano circuit, where throughout the month visitors will witness different models as they are taken on test drives and laps around the track.
Universo Ferrari is open to the public on September 21-22 and September 28-29. Exclusive tours have to be booked in advance.
