PHILIPPINE Chevrolet distributor The Covenant Car Co., Inc. (TCCCI) picked this year’s edition of the Cebu Auto Show, held last weekend, in which to launch the new Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss, the company’s latest addition to its Colorado pickup lineup.
“For more than 100 years, Chevrolet has relentlessly brought to the global stage legendary and dependable trucks that are built to last,” said TCCCI president and CEO Alberto B. Arcilla. “The introduction of the Colorado Trail Boss to the Philippine market provides an exciting opportunity for Filipinos to experience the next level of adventure.”
Besides the Colorado Trail Boss, displayed by TCCCI during the three-day Cebu Auto Show were the Colorado High Country Storm and Chevrolet Trailblazer Phoenix.
The company said the Colorado Trail Boss’s “powerful drivetrain, superior performance and bold American styling will make daily commutes and weekend adventures more exhilarating by enabling drivers to overcome challenging obstacles along the way.”
The truck is powered by a four-cylinder, 2.8-liter Duramax diesel engine that, with a variable geometry turbocharger, makes 200hp and 500Nm. Sending this output to the rear wheels is a six-speed automatic transmission.
TCCCI said the Colorado Trail Boss has an 800-millimeter water-wading capability, a one-ton payload capacity, and can tow objects weighing up to three tons.
Identifying the Colorado Trail Boss are a sport bar, black Chevrolet bowtie badge on a black grille, 18-inch alloy wheels and the black Colorado decal and Trail Boss badge on the tailgate.
Other features of the new variant include the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system that provides plug-and-play smartphone connectivity with available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, electric power steering, dual airbags and a limited-slip differential.
The truck comes with a five-year warranty coverage, three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, plus a two-year warranty on the powertrain (or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first).
Chevrolet owners are also automatically enrolled in the 24/7 Chevrolet Emergency Roadside Support for three years, with an option to renew on the fourth year of ownership. They are also given access to a 24/7 customer care hotline.
TCCCI said specific to the Colorado Trail Boss is a limited-time offer of free preventive maintenance services for two years, or 40,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. This promo is offered on purchases made in September.
