AFTER launching in Manila what it calls as the “most stylish, modern iteration of one of its most iconic diesel workhorses” on August 29, Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) on September 14 introduced the Isuzu D-Max LS-A in Cebu City.
Accompanying the truck’s launch in the Visayas was the kick-off of IPC’s “Tough Enough” lifestyle campaign in which the D-Max LS-A 4×4 was offered to the public for test-drives. The activity demonstrated the durability, fuel efficiency and overall value-for-money quality of the D-Max LS-A 4×4, and highlighted the pickup’s complete package of features that cater to the modern Filipino lifestyle, IPC said.
IPC president Hajime Koso said the D-Max LS-A “represents nearly a century of Isuzu’s experience and innovation in the design, engineering and workmanship of diesel-powered utility vehicles.”
“The D-Max LS-A is infused as well with features that address the demands of a market that value both hard work and play, business with leisure,” Koso added.
Powering the D-Max LS-A is the powerful and fuel-efficient 4JJ1-TCX four-cylinder, 3.0-liter Blue Power diesel engine that, with an intercooled VGS turbo, makes 175hp and 380Nm.
IPC said the D-Max LS-A is initially available only in a 4×4 variant, but 4×2 variants will be offered in the coming months. It added both variants get the option of either a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential-shift function or a six-speed manual transmission with a gearshift indicator.
The D-Max LS-A has a modern exterior styling, fitted with a dark gray grille and front bumper, side step boards, rocker panels, a cargo extender and roof rails. Its cabin features include automatic climate control, passive entry with push-button ignition on/off, a 12-volt accessory socket, three USB charging ports, 15 storage compartments and 10 cupholders.
The D-Max LS-A comes in Cosmic Black, Sapphire Blue, Titanium Silver, Red Spinel, Splash White or Silky Pearl White colors.
