THE Hyundai Modern Jeepney Class 1 is now on display at the Road & Traffic Expo, which started Wednesday and ends today.
Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) said the jeepney is a product of its collaboration with Hyundai Motor Co. It explained the model can accommodate 12 passengers plus the driver, is powered by a Euro4-compliant, 2.5-liter CRDi diesel engine that makes 128hp, and is fitted with a load-sensing proportional valve control that helps the vehicle stay stable under braking. Semi-elliptical leaf springs in the rear ensure the jeepney is durable.
Hyundai’s Modern Jeepney Class 1 can also be fitted with features like a digital signboard, a CCTV monitor, a reversing camera, a WiFi router and an automated fare collection system.
