Gawad Kalinga executive director Jose Luis Oquineña and Lalamove Philippines managing director Dannah Majarocon (seated) sign the agreement which paves the way for the two parties to build a Kusina ng Kalinga in Quezon City. Set to help in the project is the channel strategy – business development team of telco Globe.

ON-DEMAND transport logistics company Lalamove said it has partnered with Gawad Kalinga in a project meant to provide underprivileged children with free meals.

Lalamove said it wants to help in providing a sustainable solution for hunger, and so it is launching the “Hatid Kusina, Hatid Kalinga” project with Gawad Kalinga. The initiative will provide a community kitchen for the children living in Talipapa, Quezon City. Hatid Kusina, Hatid Kalinga will provide daily nutritious lunch meals to children from public schools, the streets and conflict areas in addition to the 12 existing Kusina ng Kalinga in the Philippines.

Lalamove said that not only will the project provide children with nutritious food, but also give them a better chance to achieve their full potential.

Lalamove said its users can take part in the construction and development of the new Kusina ng Kalinga by availing of Lalamove’s services more frequently.
