Honda to unveil all-new Jazz hatchback at Tokyo Motor Show

Honda will unveil the all-new Jazz hatchback at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show.

The full model change continues the Jazz’s party trick: carrying a spacious cabin within a compact footprint. The new Jazz continues with the central fuel tank layout that made this possible, as well as the folding rear seats that can be configured to carry cargo. This makes the Jazz a mini-minivan that’s surprisingly versatile.

The new Jazz will have a hybrid model. The hybrid will feature a two-motor system that’s even more compact than the previous system.

Also taking center stage at Tokyo is the Honda e, the brand’s all-electric urban runabout. The Honda e carries clean, inviting styling that’s keeping with Honda’s tradition of desirable compact cars. The Honda e features electric drive to the rear wheels, potentially signaling a fun-handling car. Inside, it has a large dual-touchscreen system, and one of the first in the world to have a camera-based rear view monitors, eliminating the traditional door mirrors. Honda Personal Assistant, a voice recognition function based on connected technologies and advanced AI technologies, will be on board.
