Kia has launched its new subcompact SUV, the Seltos. The Seltos has a 4370mm long x 1800mm wide footprint, with a long 2630mm wheelbase. Seltos is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four DOHC gasoline Atkinson Cycle engine with 149ps and 179Nm. It’s paired with an automatic transmission. A drive mode selector allows changing from Eco to Normal to Sport mode.
The Seltos features available LED headlights, fog lamps, daytime running lights and taillights. Seltos rides on 17-inch alloys fitted with 215mm tires.
Interior features include available automatic climate control, 8-inch touchscreen audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and 6 speakers, reclining rear seats with full-flat and split-fold (60:40) capability. There’s an available rear view camera, keyless entry and push start system.
Safety features include electronic stability control, hill descent control, and hill-start assist. Seltos is equipped with front, side and curtain airbags. Kia says that the Seltos is constructed using high-strength steel to improve safety and rigidity.
Seltos is availabe in dual tone colors: Starbright Yellow/ Cherry Black (SX) and Clear White/ Cherry Black (SX) and monotone colors: Starbright Yellow, Mars Orange (LX, EX); Dark Ocean Blue (LX, EX, SX), Gravity Grey (LX, SX), and Iron Grey (LX, EX)).
Kia president Manny Aligada said during the launch, ” the Seltos is a complete crossover package that delivers innovative driving experiences as well as class-leading cabin space that inspires you to enjoy the thrill of new adventures.”

This concept is about capturing the heart of our customer and making it beat a bit faster for a bit longer. It is further enhanced with the technologies that offer enjoyable in-cabin experience and driver safety features,” he added.
Kia Seltos is available at introductory prices (inclusive of P50,000 discount) until November 30, 2019:
