GITI holds global launch of passenger car tire line-up at Clark

Another new entrant to the passenger car tire market has opened shop. Giti Tires, exclusively distributed by Northern Automax Intersales Inc., recently held their global launch and brand launch in the Philippines simultaneously, showing off to the world their latest range of high-performance passenger car/light truck/pick-up/SUV tire range to the global media.

Dealers of GITI Tires from all over the world, as well as select motoring media and influencers/vloggers were invited to the Clark International Speedway to witness the momentous event.

Executives from GITI Tires from all over the world flew in, headed by Chris Bloor, Executive Director for International Sales and Marketing, Robert Franklin, International Marketing Manager and Martin Gibson and Xavier Painous, both managers for European Test Operations. Gibson is based in the United Kingdom while Painous is based in Spain, as the company does year-round testing all-over Europe. They were joined by Mannix Ocampo, EVP for Sales and Marketing of Northern Automax Intersales Inc.

GITI Tires is a Singapore based company ranked 11th in the world based on revenue.

In 2018, the company reported a revenue of $3.215 billion (P163 billion), is present in over 130 countries worldwide, and boasts 70,000 points of sale or dealers. They have 35,000 employees spread throughout their 12 offices in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, United States, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Brazil, Italy and Dubai, alongside their eight manufacturing facilities in China, Indonesia and the recently opened one in the US. Their tires meet all stringent road legal certification such as the US Department of Transportation, German TUV and more.

Now, the company brings its entire global model line-up in the country, under GITI Control Series, GITI Comfort Series, GITI 4×4 Series, GITI Runflat Series, and GITI Sport Series of tires.

During the launch event, participants were given an opportunity to get behind the wheel of several high performance cars. There were three driving activities offered: a slalom section, braking in both wet and dry session, and finally some hot laps behind the wheel of the Formula V1 race cars shod with their series’ control tire, the GITI GTR3RR1 road-legal race tire.
