PARA swimmer and Toyota ambassador Ernie Gawilan continues training amidst ECQ
Despite the recent announcement of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) extension, Toyota Ambassador and Para-Athlete Ernie Gawilan inspires everyone to keep moving forward as he continues his preparations for the upcoming competitions in the safety of his own home in Samal Island.
In a video posted on Toyota Motor Philippine’s page, the ambassador inspired everyone to remain hopeful on the fight against COVID-19 and shared his home routine, focusing on his land training while the ECQ is still being implemented in Davao.
“Kahit ganun man, hindi pa din tayo nawawalan ng pag-asa na ipagpatuloy yung ensayo na ginagawa natin nung regular season. Laban lang! Fight COVID-19! [Despite this, we never lose hope in continuing training as we did during the regular season. Keep fighting! Fight COVID-19!]” said the ambassador.
“Through our local Toyota Ambassador Mr. Ernie Gawilan, we hope to inspire everyone even though we are facing challenging times,” says Ms. Cristina Arevalo, TMP’s First Vice President for Brand & Product Planning. “Our pursuit for Mobility for All continues and to achieve that, we have to stop moving, to be able to move forward to better days ahead. Toyota Motor Philippines salutes the health care workers and frontliners who are tirelessly fighting against this pandemic and keeping us safe. Together, we can overcome this.”
