Top German oil brand Liqui Moly supports the nation’s frontliners
This is perhaps our most challenging time in modern history as our nation and the rest of the world when even just commuting everyday can be considered a high risk activity. Mobility in today’s Covid19 battlefield for the thousands of frontliners who regularly troop to the hospitals, going through checkpoints and sometimes even face discrimination while battling an unseen enemy.
Liqui Moly, Germany’s leading lubricant brand, and in cooperation with its Philippine Exclusive Distributor, European Advanced Technik Corporation, remains committed to the efforts in combatting this pandemic by donating Liqui Moly products – engine oils and additives to various frontliner groups in the country, ensuring that the vehicles used by these groups will remain reliable and ready all the time.
Liqui Moly explains that this is its worldwide initiative spearheaded by the Managing Director of Liqui Moly GMBH, Ernst Prost, to show great appreciation to frontliners worldwide who risk their lives in battling this pandemic. At first, it started out as a one million euro initiative and due to the strong worldwide response, it was increased to three million Euros and then to four million Euros by Prost.
“We want to help hospitals, rescue services and fire brigades with free products to be ready for action. A good deed which has been accepted incredibly well, up to now, we have almost 1500 shipments to make…most of them, we will definitely be completed this and next week.” said Prost. “After only a few days, I realize what a gigantic avalanche I kicked off. I didn’t know that we (thank God) have so many first responder vehicles and hospitals in Germany. We’ll just add an additional two million Euro of free products to those who are looking out for our health and lives! Who wants to be stuck on the open road on the way to the hospital, just because the engine died?” He added.
Liqui Moly has been voted this year by the top automotive and motorsport magazines in Germany, as the best engine oil brand, making it the number 1 brand 10 years in a row. All Liqui Moly products are produced in two of its factories in Germany. Liqui Moly also recently signed a 3-year contract a Formula One’s Official Sponsor for the 2020 to 2022 racing seasons.
According to Liqui Moly Philippines, the products for frontliners will be available in partner car manufacturers, dealers and independent workshop. Other frontliners who are recipients of these are Lifeline Ambulances, affiliate members of Philippine Volunteer Fire Brigades Inc., Grab Philippines.
