Maxus PH launches 8-seat G50 MPV

August 26,2020

Maxus Philippines has rolled out the latest addition to its stable of minivans and utility vehicles, the 8-seat G50 MPV. The G50 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, good for 169ps and 250Nm. It’s paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The G50 measures 4825mm long x 1825 wide x 1778 high, on a 2800mm wheelbase. Here’s the news from Maxus:

In a virtual launch on August 25, Maxus Philippines introduced the three variants of the G50: The 1.5 Turbo DCT Pro (P1.088 Million); the 1.5 Turbo DCT Elite (P1.168 Million), and; the 1.5 Turbo DCT Premium (P1.288 Million).

The G50 epitomizes the “do-it-all” attitude of multi-purpose vehicles, and is infused with Maxus’ 124 years of British-bred heritage, global expertise and experience in LCVs, making the G50 the MPV that can do “Max more”.

With its modern design, spacious interior, superior features, and value-for-money pricing across the compact and subcompact MPV segments, the G50 is ideal for young entrepreneurs and up-and-coming corporate managers who need not just an all-in-one vehicle, but also a “more-in-one” MPV for their daily transport, their business or delivery vehicle, or their weekend leisure ride with the entire household.

The G50 ticks off all the boxes that define a compact MPV, and then goes the extra mile by adding more to the total package, such as the turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine, a spacious 8-seater cabin, reverse camera, Park Distance Control, keyless entry, push-start button, Electronic Stabilisation Program, and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold for all variants. A 12” infotainment system, 360-degree view camera, leather seats are added for the Premium and Elite variants, whereas a panoramic sunroof, mobile wireless charging, LED headlights and power tailgate are available for the top-of-the-line Premium variant.

Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc. President Felipe Estrella described how the G50 further enhances the role which Maxus’ line-up of LCVs plays in Filipinos’ lives. “We have recognized the importance of families since we launched our flagship model, the G10 multi-purpose vehicle in 2019. Our other models, the V80 van as well as our pick-up, the T60, match the continuously evolving needs and wants of Filipino families. We likewise appreciate the hard work of micro, small and medium enterprise owners. The reliability, efficiency, power and versatility of our products make them ideal for businesses and even essential, life-saving purposes. The G50 is our latest vehicle that caters, again, to the Filipino family.”

Expounding on family, Maxus Philippines General Manager Reginald See said, “The G50 is an MPV that can take in even your extended family members since it’s an 8-seater. It’s ideal for long road trips and family picnics. The great thing about this is that it has the price of a sub-compact MPV.”

The Maxus G50 splashes in with the coolest colors. The G50 1.5 Turbo DCT Pro comes in Warm White, Warm Argent, Metal Black and Water Blue. For the G50 1.5 Turbo DCT Elite, there’s Roland Purple, Polar Ash, and Warm White, plus the Deep Golden exclusive to the variant. The G50 1.5 Turbo DCT Premium is also available in Roland Purple, Polar Ash, and Warm White.

The G50 enjoys “Max” quality, efficiency and convenience of aftersales products, services, and worry-free ownership backed by a warranty coverage that is 5 years or 100,000 kms, whichever comes first. Maxus Philippines also offers 24/7 emergency roadside assistance and on-site servicing for corporate fleet accounts.
