The racing action continues this weekend as Toyota Motor Philippines mounts the second round of its e-motorsport tournament – the GR Supra GT Cup Asia Philippines.

Streaming this Saturday, August 29 at 8:00 PM via TMP’s official accounts www.facebook.com/toyotamotorphilippines  and www.youtube.com/toyotamotorphilippines , the virtual GR Supra races will feature some of the country’s top Gran Turismo Sport gamers tackling the Autopolis International Racing Course for a chance to earn the most points from the second round.

The broadcast will be hosted by DJ and gamer Gino Quillamor, and a familiar face from Toyota’s Vios Racing Festival Apple David. Prizes are at stake for viewers who will participate in the games. Details on how to contribute to the donation drive to help frontliners on the road will also be announced.

The first round races of the GR Supra GT Cup Asia Philippines were held last July with Luis Moreno,  Mark Voltaire Elman, and Corban Guerrero finishing first, second, and third respectively at the sporting class. The promotional class meanwhile was led by first placer Gab Señires, second placer Lance Padilla, and third placer Lance Guballa.

The third and last round will be held in September. These final races will determine the overall champions – the players from each category who accumulated the most points – who will then represent the Philippines in the Asia regional round.

The GR Supra GT Cup Asia Philippines is TMP’s online racing tournament under Toyota’s global Toyota Gazoo Racing program. It aims to bring the racing experience to more people, allowing PlayStation racing simulator gamers to race Toyota’s GR Supra on various racing circuits all over the world, while finding and honing the country’s best e-racing talents.
