The Red Bull speed machines demonstrated their dominance at the Brazilian Grand Prix, taking a 1-2 finish, with Sebastian Vettel leading. If you’re sitting bleary-eyed at your monitor right now, you must have stayed up to watch one of the more exciting races this year. But despite the eventful race, with a wild restart after a Safety Car period, the Bulls never relinquished the lead. The weekend seals their Constructors World Championship title; the samba music must have seemed particularly sweet for team boss Christian Horner.
Next up will be Abu Dhabi, which will decide the Driver’s title. Ferrari man Fernando Alonso is still in the lead with 12 points over Webber and 15 over Vettel. Alonso can take the title by finishing fourth if Vettel wins the race; he has to finish second if Mark Webber wins. With that in scenario in mind, Horner and Vettel have already hinted that they will support Webber. Lewis Hamilton still has a mathematical chance of taking the title, if he wins and none of the top three score any points.
Once again, it’s a nail-biting finish to the F1 season.
