Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is set to hold the 2010 Toyota Classics on November 10, 2010 at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) of the Cultural Center of the Philippines in Pasay City.
Since 1990, Toyota Classics concerts have been staged to promote a harmonious exchange of culture and the arts among various countries. They have gained international renown that attracted countless audiences throughout the Asia Pacific region including cities such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Seoul and Taipei.
This year, Toyota Classics will once again open up a world of harmony as it features an ensemble of talented musicians, the Orchestra Citta di Firenze. Under the baton of Lorenzo Castriola Skanderbeg and tenor Leonardo Melani, the Orchestra Citta di Firenze will put on play the expressive beauty, passion and romanticism of Italian Classical Music. Audiences will be serenaded with pieces coming from distinguished composers including Verdi, Puccini and Rossini. Joining the orchestra performance is our very own Filipino soprano, Rachelle Gerodias.
The 14th iteration of the Toyota Classics in the Philippines also represents the continuous efforts of TMP, together with its socio-humanitarian arm, Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation (TMPF) to contribute to social development. Proceeds of the concert shall be donated to Gawad Kalinga.
